THE WORD OF GOD SAYS
DON’T COMMENT ON THINGS THAT UPSET YOU—INSTEAD PRAY FOR OTHERS!
Don’t respond to the stupidity of a fool; you’ll only look foolish yourself.
Proverbs 26:4 MSG
Complain if you must, but don’t lash out. Keep your mouth shut, and let your heart do the talking. Build your case before God and wait for his verdict.
Psalm 4:4-5 MSG
DON’T RETALIATE WHEN YOU HAVE BEEN INSULTED—ALWAYS KEEP THE PEACE
Do not retaliate with evil, regardless of the evil brought against you. Try to do what is good and right and honorable as agreed upon by all people. If it is within your power, make peace with all people. Again, my loved ones, do not seek revenge; instead, allow God’s wrath to make sure justice is served. Turn it over to Him. For the Scriptures say, “Revenge is Mine. I will settle all scores.”
Romans 12:17-19 VOICE
DON’T INTERVERE IN OTHER PEOPLE’S LIVES—THAT’S GOD’S DEPARTMENT
You grab a mad dog by the ears when you butt into a quarrel that’s none of your business.
Proverbs 26:17 MSG
YOUR FOLLOWING WILL GROW WHEN YOU LEAD WELL
The mark of a good leader is loyal followers; leadership is nothing without a following.
Proverbs 14:28 MSG
LET YOUR ONLINE PRESENCE GIVE CREDIT TO THE MESSAGE OF CHRIST
Meanwhile, live in such a way that you are a credit to the Message of Christ. Let nothing in your conduct hang on whether I come or not. Your conduct must be the same whether I show up to see things for myself or hear of it from a distance. Stand united, singular in vision, contending for people’s trust in the Message, the good news, not flinching or dodging in the slightest before the opposition. Your courage and unity will show them what they’re up against: defeat for them, victory for you—and both because of God. There’s far more to this life than trusting in Christ. There’s also suffering for him. And the suffering is as much a gift as the trusting. You’re involved in the same kind of struggle you saw me go through, on which you are now getting an updated report in this letter.
Philippians 1:27-30 MSG
DON’T WORRY ABOUT FALSE RUMOURS THAT OTHER PEOPLE SPREAD AROUND ABOUT YOU
“Not only that—count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don’t like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.
Matthew 5:11-12 MSG
COLLABORATE WITH OTHER BELIEVERS—UNITY IS POWERFUL!
“Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A family splintered by feuding will fall apart.
Luke 11:17 NLT
BRING THE BEST IN EACH OTHER—YOUR POSTS SHOULD ALWAYS ENCOURAGE OTHERS
And now, friends, we ask you to honor those leaders who work so hard for you, who have been given the responsibility of urging and guiding you along in your obedience. Overwhelm them with appreciation and love! Get along among yourselves, each of you doing your part. Our counsel is that you warn the freeloaders to get a move on. Gently encourage the stragglers, and reach out for the exhausted, pulling them to their feet. Be patient with each person, attentive to individual needs. And be careful that when you get on each other’s nerves you don’t snap at each other. Look for the best in each other, and always do your best to bring it out.
1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 MSG
GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER
Regarding life together and getting along with each other, you don’t need me to tell you what to do. You’re God -taught in these matters. Just love one another!
1 Thessalonians 4:9-10 MSG
DON’T LOVE EVERYTHING THAT YOU SEE ONLINE
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.
1 John 2:15-17 NLT
I SHALL BELIEVE THE REPORT OF THE LORD—NOT THE WORLD’S REPORT OF DOOM AND GLOOM
A cheerful disposition is good for your health; gloom and doom leave you bone-tired
Proverbs 17:22 MSG
Write this down for the next generation so people not yet born will praise God: “God looked out from his high holy place; from heaven he surveyed the earth. He listened to the groans of the doomed, he opened the doors of their death cells.” Write it so the story can be told in Zion, so God’s praise will be sung in Jerusalem’s streets and wherever people gather together along with their rulers to worship him.
Psalm 102:18-22 MSG
REJECTING THE TRUTH OF GOD’S WORD LEAVES YOU POWERLESS
“Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.” The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.” He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
Luke 10:16-20 NIV
FOCUS YOUR FULL ATTENTION ON JESUS
We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!
Hebrews 12:2 TPT
WHEN YOUR HEART IS SET ON JESUS CHRIST YOU WILL BE FOLLOWED (HUNTED OUT) BY MANY FOR YOUR BLESSINGS
“Still, if you set your heart on God and reach out to him, If you scrub your hands of sin and refuse to entertain evil in your home, You’ll be able to face the world unashamed and keep a firm grip on life, guiltless and fearless. You’ll forget your troubles; they’ll be like old, faded photographs. Your world will be washed in sunshine, every shadow dispersed by dawn. Full of hope, you’ll relax, confident again; you’ll look around, sit back, and take it easy. Expansive, without a care in the world, you’ll be hunted out by many for your blessing. But the wicked will see none of this. They’re headed down a dead-end road with nothing to look forward to—nothing.”
Job 11:13-20 MSG
REPRESENT HOLINESS
As God’s obedient children, never again shape your lives by the desires that you followed when you didn’t know better. Instead, shape your lives to become like the Holy One who called you. For Scripture says: “You are to be holy, because I am holy.”
1 Peter 1:14-16 TPT
