Deuteronomy 8:4 NLT

For all these forty years your clothes didn’t wear out, and your feet didn’t blister or swell.

God helped his people adapt to the conditions of the wilderness. Even if it was dry, hot and no food in sight, God was still faithfull and provided in all their needs for 40 years because he loved them so much. Let’s look at an Octopus or Cuttlefish, they can instantly transform their skin to match nearly any background according to the colour, pattern and texture. Scientist have no idea how they are able to get information about their surroundings in order to match them if they are actually color-blind.

God who created these amazing animals is the same Creator that is giving you the capibility to transform your life without being effected by your circumstances. People will look at you and wonder how’s it possible that a person with a background like yours became such an influential and wealthy person. It is just like Oprah Winfrey who was raised by her grandmother until the age of six. A year later she lived with her mom, got raped when she was 9 years old. She was molested when she was 10 years old by two family members and then decided to run away from home when she was 14 years old. Today she has an estimated net worth of $3.2 Billion, all generated from a self made reality TV show.

How did she transform her life? She made a decision to get up and share her hurt to help others. The word of God says in Romans 12:2 Amp, “Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].”

Be like this Octopus or Cuttlefish that transforms its appearance into something extraordinary even if it can’t see any color. Don’t let your past define who you are today. Take God’s promises, you don’t have to see it today, just believe that Jesus has already given you a better future when he hung on that cross. Your thoughts about yourself and others are so powerful that it can determine the course of your life (Prov 4:23).
